2009. szeptember 04., péntek - 18:37

The unbelieveble run of lucky loser Julien Sterbelle from Belgium was stoped by the other suprise-guy Yannick Offermans from Germany, who came into the Qualifying draw with a WC. Offermans will play the only Hungarian player left in the draw, Viktor Filipenko, who beat Konstantin Gerlakh from Russia, to secure himself a spot in the semis.

First seed Salaba from the Czech Republik, lost to Romanian Marasin in a big match 57 76 46 . Marasin will meet Prokop from the Czech in the semis tomorrow, who suprisingly easy-beat Serbian Miki Jankovic today.

In the girls draw, Patricia Tig won today clear in two sets, after beating 2.seed home player Szabina Szlavikovics yesterday in a very tough match (the first set only took 1hour39minutes!!!) and she's going to meet czech Dvorakova in the semis, after Dvorakova beat Irina Bara 60 63. Gabriela Porubin came through winning in three sets against Hungarian Dora Hegedűs 36 64 63 and will meet Paulina Czarnik in the semis, after Czarnik beat Gabriella Pantuckova 75 61.

In the doubles draw, both boys matches were decided in a match tie-break. The first match between Ofner/Schretter from Austria and Ciznar/Voscek from the Slovakian Republic was the tightest in the tournament sofar, since the slovak duo won finally 62 36 14/12! Hungarian hopes were distroyed by third seed duo Sterbelle(Bel)/Salaba(Cze), since the Belgian/Czech double won 46 61 10/5!

The girls doubles was not quite as tight, though the Mathis sisters from Austria almost upest the first seed Hungarian double Szlavikovics/Kapitany, since they were 75 41 30/0 up already, when the home-player couple found there rythem and turned the set and match around, by winning 57 75 10/3 in the end. They will meet the czech Dvorakova/Pantuckova pair in tomorrows final, who beat Camplone (Ita) /Gunaysu (Tur) 64 64!
